Greetings from the Head of School

At EIS, we believe that academic success and personal growth go hand in hand. Our students are challenged to think critically, identify problems, and collaborate to develop innovative solutions. As an IB Continuum School, we are committed to providing a rigorous, high-quality education in English, equipping students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to thrive in an ever-changing world. Our diverse community brings together students and educators from over 20 nationalities, fostering a truly international environment where global perspectives and character development are at the heart of learning.
A Unique Learning Environment
Enishi International School offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP), providing a seamless and enriching educational experience from age 1 through Grade 12.
Our campus, originally a Japanese school building, has been thoughtfully upgraded to enhance learning. We have transformed our playground by replacing the sand area with AstroTurf, creating a vibrant and green outdoor space. Additionally, we have installed air conditioning in the gym to ensure a comfortable environment for students throughout the year.
EIS is conveniently located next to the historic Noritake Garden, just a 15-minute walk from Nagoya Station. Our school provides a safe, green, and inspiring setting where students can learn, explore, and grow.
A Commitment to Academic Excellence and Personal Development
At EIS, we are dedicated to fostering both academic achievement and personal growth. Academic success is a cornerstone of our mission, and we ensure that students receive the support and challenges necessary to reach their full potential. We offer free Saturday school courses for secondary students, focusing on math, science, biology, and chemistry, as well as academic summer school programs that reinforce learning and prepare students for future challenges.
To support our students’ well-being and aspirations, we provide dedicated counseling services. Our school counselor helps students navigate their personal and academic journeys, while our college counselor works closely with DP students to ensure they are well-prepared for university admissions and future careers.
Holistic Learning Beyond the Classroom
Education at EIS extends beyond academics. We offer a rich variety of extracurricular activities, with over 30 different clubs each week, including sports, dance, acting, art, board games, drama, music, kanji, and more. These activities allow students to develop leadership, teamwork, and creativity while pursuing their personal interests.
